The National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts - was set up to find and nurture creative excellence throughout the UK, supporting innovative individuals and ideas that could benefit our economy and society. It also runs an education programme which seeks out new and imaginative ways of stimulating creativity in people of all ages and of increasing public understanding of science, technology and the arts. DCAL
The Department of Culture Arts and Leisure (DCAL) is responsible for the central administration of arts and culture, museums, libraries, sport and leisure visitor amenities, inland waterways and inland fisheries. It also has responsibility for Ordnance Survey, the Public Record Office, language policy, matters relating to National Lottery distribution, Millennium events and the Northern Ireland Events Company.
The Creativity Seed Fund (CSF) has been established with Executive Programme Funds allocated by the Northern Ireland Executive to help implement Unlocking Creativity. A joint initiative of four departments: the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL); the Department of Education; the Department of Education; the Department of Employment and Learning; and Invest Northern Ireland. The CSF is administered by the Creativity Unit of DCAL.
