5. Ticking Clocks
The famous ticking clock on the bomb is there purely for reasons of suspense and is echoed in the classic spaghetti western device of the musical watch. A ticking clock is any situation of conflict which can be resolved in a way which affects the audience.
Take the synopsis developed in exercise 4 and discuss what type of ticking clock could command the audience’s interest.
