7. What if?
Jeff Starks film ‘Reversed’ (1998) shows a man, played by Ewan McGregor, finding a cream bun on a solitary beach. Bemused, he looks up and down the deserted beach and decides to tuck in. Yet on first bite, a line tightens and he is pulled in to the sea.
Take your newspaper-inspired stories from exercise 6 and discuss how the situations involved could be reversed or altered for comic/surreal/dramatic effect.
