Preparing for Exam
Perhaps one of the principle ways Moving Image Arts differs from Media or Film Studies is in the way the analytical knowledge of film language is assessed ie the online Exam.
It is important to remember that the students are not being tested on film history. Rather they are being asked to deconstruct or analyse an unseen clip. The online exam is comparable to the unseen poem in English except at A2, where they would be expected to have some background knowledge of the two set texts for the ‘Compare and Contrast’ question.
